Eating out
Once a month I have a meeting at a Donatos restaurant. This month it will be on the 27th and I will be about 5 weeks out. I kinda looked at the menu to see what I could it and got confused..anyone have any suggestions? I am thinking I may just have to eat before hand, but it's 1 1/2 hours one way.
Thanks!
Is there anything on the menu that's on your plan? I don't think there was anything at a pizza place on my plan that early out. Now, at five years out, I'd just eat a couple slices of thin crust pizza. But that wasn't on my plan at five weeks. I think I'd pack something to take with me to eat.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
I would take food with you. I learned by experience that eating unfamiliar food at a restaurant may not agree with you and come back up. The brands they use, seasonings or sugars added, dryness of meat or food, etc.
Excusing yourself to go to the bathroom and stay there until vomiting and wretching are gone, and feeling bad the rest of the evening - not fun. Be safe and take your own food. You can experiment more as you are further out from surgery & are allowed a larger variety of foods.
Best wishes, Penny
Thanks everyone. I will just take something to eat with me..not chancing anything. Better safe than sorry.
