What's on the menu today, RNYers?
Thanks to Cunning Pam for yesterday's post! I like mixing it up - always happy to have someone else start the thread! Although I was traveling yesterday and offline, I got to read the post before I went to bed :) Love seeing the menus!
B: Syntrax Matrix Mint Cookie shake with unsweetened almond milk (yes I am obsessed if you hadn't noticed)
L: My leftover Sunday crock pot chicken glop...hope I don't die...I never know if food is old? Is 4 days ok for chicken? Might text my mom lol.
D: I have dinner with my old boss (who by the way I just saw and he hasn't seen me in 3 months and he didn't say ANYTHING about my loss! WTF!) so we are going to a tapas restaurant. I will have some cheese and some shrimp, I think. I have to go obsess over the menu online when I find a minute
E: Nothing other than normal walking around the city

I did pick up a couple of new things to try at the supermarket yesterday. I've got sardines and quinoa. There are posts here from people recommending each of those things, so I thought they'd be worth a try. Also picked up a nice boneless sirloin, they're on sale at Dierberg's this week for 5.99 a pound. Thank goodness for the husbeast, if it were just me it would be about 8 meals worth of food!

JJ0609, how far out are you from surgery? What was your starting weight and what is your current weight (how much have you lost)? Your calories look good, but you are kinda low on protein. You're only at 49 grams for the day and your goal is 80. Also, how do pretzels have 8 grams of protein and vegetable lasagna have 12 grams of protein. Not trying to sound like I'm questioning you, but I just don't see where the protein would be in either of these. . . maybe cheese in the lasagna, but 12 would be high for just cheese. How much water are you drinking? I found that the scale really started to move when I started to significantly increase my water intake. Not sure how far you are out from surgery, but if you are over a year, maybe your calories need to be higher??? Need more info!
My main goal today is to NOT EAT ANY MINIATURE CANDY BARS that are always present at my workplace, for everyone to enjoy! I wish they just wouldn't put them out!!! At first, I would just walk by and not take one, then I started to just take one. . .then two. . .now I'm craving them. So far, I've walked by them multiple times today and haven't taken one. Those damn things!!!
B: snack sized Premier protein shake
S: L & F greek yogurt with a little granola (instead of mini candy bars)
L: taco meat, refried beans, a little cheese
S: L & F greek yogurt or a Zone protein bar
D: not sure yet . . .won't get off until 6, then have an art show at my daughter's school at 7. . .should've had a better plan)
W: already at 50 or so ounces - will be over 80
V: behind and I better catch up!
Hey guys it's been a crazy 2 weeks. We got back from LA with colds and my hubby is the last one to get it. I didn't feel like eating much while sick and now my body is trying to catch up.... But I am back on here and starting to track on myfitpal, and I am going back to the gym today!
My eats for today:
breakfast: coffee and creamer, L&F peach Greek yogurt with some almonds mixed in, 1/2 cup milk
lunch: perfect day for a picnic in the park! 2oz deli turkey, 2 slices cheese, pickle spear
dinner: leftover night I think I want chicken noodle soup.
Snacks: protein shake with some milk, 1/2 apple with chunky pb and a string cheese

Dinner: Boiled Chicken and my own little combination of dices tomatoes, onion, and cilantro with lime juice. Yum! :)
Exercise: I have been doing at least 40 minutes - 1 hour at the gym. Tonight I am going to try to step it up to 1 hr to 1.5 :)
