What's on your menu today, RNYers?
Hi folks,
Inspire me! I am normally really good about planning but today I am just way behind. It's 11:30 and I am only halfway through breakfast (a Syntrax Matrix shake). I have some things in the freezer (chicken sausage, veggie burgers, shrimp) so I can find things to eat, but maybe your posts will inspire me!
I won't even bother to post my menu since it's so up in the air. I will get to around 700 calories and 70 g of protein.
W: 20 oz in
V: Took the morning selection
E: Had to skip today (randomly got an abscess on my upper leg and the Urgent Care doc said working out and sitting in damp clothes after can cause these cysts or ingrown hairs to get infected, so FYI change immediately!). But tomorrow I will be going down to the Cherry Blossom Festival here in DC and it's going to be 70 and sunny so I will be sure to get my steps in!
What's on your menu today? Emily :)
Morning! Sorry you have cysts. Hope you can get back to the gym soon DCgirl! As far as inspiring you goes, I have been craving chicken or steak fajitas. (without the shells) Doesn't that sound good?
You have inspired me to try Syntrax Matrix and others have inspired me to try Syntrax Nectar. So I ordered some various samples. LOL! Have a great weekend everybody! Here's what's on my menu today. I was craving an extra cup of coffee so I indulged.
V: already taken first batch alarms set for second and third
W: already drank 36 oz.

Sorry about the cysts, but the cherry blossom festival sounds fun!
Brunch: scotch egg, I'm really excited I feel like eating something. I haven't been sick, just haven't found anything that sits well on my pouch the last few days.
D: the oldest is coming home from college for the weekend, so I'll just see what she wants me to cook. She spent last wekend in Dallas at the NCAA tournamnet and didn't come home the weekend before, so I'm really missing her.
V: alarms set
W: never a problem
E: c25k, but I'm getting bored with it. Any suggestions? (I despise exercising!!)
i know I don't have enough protein in here, but I'll probably snack on some yogurt, cheese, shake, or jerky. I'm in a bit of a rut lol
I get in a rut sometimes too (like today!). How fun to have your daughter home :) I know I used to go home and have super specific requests for my mom lol. She's so cute - we were randomly discussing Thanksgiving the other week and she was saying she is gonna "mix it up" this year and have less potatoes and stuffing. I told her not to deprive all the other people LOL. But I also requested her poached salmon appetizer she does :)
I don't know what exercise to suggest...for me, my trainers keep me motivated and working hard. I am so thankful for them. Do you have a local gym or even community center where they do classes? I suck at Zumba but once I get fitter I will maybe do some boot camp classes :)
Good Morning all!
I'm going to continue to get high protein numbers today. Hopefully it'll kick start my weight loss.
B - Premier Protein
L - Premier Protein
D - last serving of my chipotle bowl from this weekend (I seriously hope that's not too long to wait to eat leftovers :)
S - If I need one, I bought these new mini chia seed/protein bars to try (low sugar and like 17g of protein). We'll see if it's any good
V - On track
W - Need to pick it up
E - I'm going to go on a super long walk with my dogs tonight when I get home. It's been a stressful week.
Have a great weekend everyone!
I am LOLing at your post - I am constantly like, "Can I eat this chicken from Sunday?". I am 36 years old and still call my mom to ask her if I can eat certain things :)
The Chipotle burrito bowl is a great four meals. Amazing, isn't it?
I feel sooooo accomplished when I make a 90 g protein day. Good job on packing in the protein!
WOW 90g of protein! I do not think I ever have gotten that in. I need to work harder on protein. You newbies are kickin' my tail! LOL! I love the dedication and inspiration. Hey Dodgergirl27 what kind of Premier Protein do you like? Where do you find it and the bar in your menu?

90 g of protein is tough and I find I need to have a shake as a snack to reach that. But then my other three meals need to be dense protein sources. No bars for me, but I might have chicken breast for one meal, tuna for another, and shrimp for another, for example. I don't know what I would do if I were a vegetarian (though I know there are successful veggies/vegans who have surgery). Protein fills me up and increases my numbers, and doesn't really have carbs :) Maybe try some chicken sausages or turkey burgers or sautéed shrimp or tuna packets :)
How did you know my plans? I planned on starting on Tuna Creations Lemon Pepper and Muscle Milk Pro Series 40 g of protein Mint Chocolate Overload tomorrow. LOL!
