What's on the menu today, RNYers?
This is a great point your NUT has made. A close friend has been super successful at losing and maintaining 5 years post-RNY and is a big believer IN snacks. But she's super diligent about tracking and planning, even now. She always has a pre-planned snack (both in the sense that she has it with her and that she's counted it in her daily goals) with her - a cheese stick, an apple, that sort of thing - and then she doesn't graze or buy something random because all the sudden she's starving.

Hope you feel better soon, Debb!

Glad you had a safe trip to and from New York. You look great.
B:High protein toast
Sugar free hot cocoa
L:Egg salad
S:yogurt
D:pulled chicken with refried beans and salsa
I made a ham yesterday for my family we have a ton of it left.I just feel like mixing it up a bit I hate eating the same thing over and over.I work tomorrow out of the house so I need something to just heat up.
I feel better that I told my parents about my surgery. It went really well.I just knew if my kids were afraid to tell me something I wasn't really setting a good example.
Vitamins are in
Exercise I am hoping to get outside and walk a bit.
What do you use for your high protein toast? I find that every once in a great while, I just want that toasty kind of thing. I use Ezekiel sesame bread, it has 14 carbs and 4 protein a slice. As a few and far between treat (I've used three slices out of the loaf I've had for two months now) I find it satisfies the craving while not throwing me too far out of my daily routine. I'm curious what you've found.
And I'm glad that telling the folks went so well for you! You've had good results, so there isn't much they can argue with you about, right? I know telling people about WLS isn't for everyone, but to me it always feels better to have the truth out there. I think your kids have a great example!
