Hello Everyone,

Congrats on the bags of clothes Em, I agree it's bitter sweet though.  While I love that so many of my clothes don't fit me, it's also a little sad to think of how much money is in those bags.  Still, I can live with it for the healthier life and smaller size.  I'm going to Kohl's this weekend to look for some "staple" pieces, my mom thinks that with Kohl's dollars I can get a few things for $10/piece.  I've never shopped at Kohl's for clothes (b/c I never thought I'd fit into anything) so we'll see how it goes.  Have a great weekend everyone!

Time since surgery: 3 months

B - Greek Yogurt

L - Premier Protein Shake

D - Prob. 1/4 of chipotle steak bowl

S - Kale chips

E - 30 min walk

V - On track

W - getting there

PS.  Em thanks for the tip about tdbull and China, she gave me some great advice (the tuna packs sound like a must), I really appreciate the reference.

Have a great trip!

I just put 3 tuna pouches into my laptop bag :)  I need to find a place that has mayo packets to bring with me too.  Hmmm.

Ok so I just decided I want Indian for dinner but then your post makes me want a Chipotle bowl.  Of course I would have 3 days of leftovers so i better not.

I am getting items in 1X from Kohl's at 257 lbs and 5'4".  They have way more online things in plus size.  I got a super cute moto jacket thing for my trip and my all-time favorite workout pants, Marika Magical Balance.  I order it from an app on my phone!

I wonder if you could swipe some mayo packs from a local deli?  Sometimes they have mayo and mustard by the straws, and since you only need a few it might be worthwhile....there were Jimmy John's in DC (I've lived so many places I forget who has what chains) if so, I believe they have mayo packs :)

Thanks for the Kohl's tips and the workout pants tip, Em & Pam.  I figure I"m only going to look for basics, nothing too exciting.  I hate spending money on clothes that I know (well at least I hope I know) I'll be giving away in a few months.  It's so hard though b/c the more weight I lose and the better I feel, the cuter I want to dress!  But it really hard to justify spending much money.  Still, I have to admit I'm secretly giddy that I have this problem instead of "oh crap, where am I going to find something in my size".

Have a great weekend everyone, hopefully most people are getting nice spring/summer weather!

I've been meaning to hit up Kohls. The realization that I can shop in "normal" stores now just blew my mind earlier in the week! Now to figure out who's got the clothes I like for the prices I like as well.

stop it you guys, not FAIR!  Here in Canada we don't have all the great clothing stores you ladies have, no Macys, no Khols, no nothing, it SUCKS.  I am officially jealous.  And this Chipotle bowl DC talks about, damn we don't have those places either!  And this Trader Joe's you ladies talk about, you are killing me!!

All in good fun... I love ya all regardless!!  Maybe our free healthcare makes up for the crappy shopping and crappy restaurants HA HA HA LOL LOL LOL

As someone who is fighting a $12,000 RNY bill...I still think we may have a leg up here with Trader Joe's and those shops ;) LOL! Just kidding (halfway)

That really is a going to take some work.  I FINALLY figured out the plus size store that worked for me, and now I'm having to search for new stores.  It's tough for me right now b/c I'm not quite small enough for regular stores, but plus size is hanging on me.  I guess I'll just have to expand my search.  I'm thinking Kohl's, Target, Ross, Marshalls are all good places to start.  Good luck

Have you ever tired QVC? they have some really cute stuff in sizes from xxs to 3x. I have bought things from them and the quality is really good. Plus they will take ANYTHING back within 30 days for a full refund. Warning: watching it gets a little addicting though.
