What's on the menu today, RNYers?
This is an awesome response. You are so right. I have committed to myself and I have always loved myself but I love this new person/new strong body even more. That's a perfect thing to keep in mind. I'm lying in bed and I decided I'm going to the gym in half an hour. Sure it would be nice to lay around but I've committed to 4-5x a week at the gym and I'm about to travel and mess up my schedule so this week needs to be 5x. I love how you wrote that so eloquently-I am going to keep that I'm mind.
And personally I think it deserves it's own post, titled "if you feel your passion waning" and not just buried on page3 of this post! It's a good reminder for all of us!!!
kick ass at the gym!!!
How did your gym session go? I am 300 calories down. I did some walk/running on the treadmill for 128 calories and 30 minutes on "the prancing elliptical" It is the weirdest ellipitcal ever but according to my gym guy, it burns 20% more calories than the Precors. So...guess that it is my "new favorite machine"
On Monday, I am signing up for "Sizzlin for summer" contest at the gym. One gets a raffle ticket for each pound lost. Then all the raffle tickets are put into a drawing for a fit bit, 50 buck gift card, or 25 buck gift card. I am praying for the fitbit...but I also have a garmin with heat monitor, so I should just be happy.
I am looking forward to winning some raffle tickets though.
I also need to start thinking about wedding dress shoppoing. Ugh. I hate having to "guess" where I will be by december.
Good luck with the travels and pack your walking/running shoes and some workout gear. Walking/jogging wherever you are is FREE! Be safe though! The consisseur at the hotel should be able to tell you what neighborhoods to stay out of. THey may even have a workout room in the hotel!
