LOL it sure is :)

I had a taxi driver the other night here in London who was super chatty.  He was 70 years old.  He asked if I was here on holiday.  I replied that I was here for work.  He then said, "Ayy so yerrr a career woman then?  How's that workin' out for ya'?".  Cracked me up!

I got a late start this morning, so nothing entered this mouth until 10:30, but here it goes

B premium protein drink (van) I pour about an 1/4 in my coffee as a creamer, wait 30 mins and finish the rest, usually only drink these in the mornings I work, but since I was starting late I needed a jump start

L. By the time I was able to get 20 oz of 0 vi****er in it was 1:30 before I could eat lunch.  Pouch of tuna packed in water (about 2.4 oz), mixed with 1/8 c FF plain yogurt, boil egg, 2 shakes of lemon and couple shakes of dill weed

D. My husband requested hamburgers for dinner. I use lean grd turkey mixed with seasoning & 1egg to help hold it together. I measure out 4oz (pre cooked) burger for me and the rest makes two big burgers for him. Of coarse his is with all the trimmings, min is just the burger with 1/4 c of preggo lite smart marinara sauce. If I'm fixing veggies I'll cut the burger Down to 3oz and nibble on veggies/salad

W I'm home today and seem to have a harder time getting that fluid in, but at 4pm I have had 2 24 bottles of water and or green tea. I drink from a 24 container so it helps me to track the amts I get in and the amts I need. I ll mix up 20 more oz of green tea and drink it between now an an hr before bedtime. I stop drinking about 30 min before dinner and do not drink after dinner for a solid hr.

E. the dogs and I went for a 5k walk in my neighborhood early this afternoon.  I had an xlap surgery last Thursday so no heavy exercise for two wks (which is why I'm home)

I do not count my protein drink or coffee towards my fluid, I find if I do I get slack getting the good stuff in.

With the above Menu it will be 500-550 cal & 81 protein, if I had not been a slug today I would have had almonds or cheese stick to boost the calorie count.....I may still have time tonight, depends on how long it takes for last 20 oz of fluid I get in ;)

550 calories for 82 g of protein is awesome :) How long since surgery?

I'm 9 mos out. And 550 cal is a little low for me, my norm is 800. 75-85 protein is my norm, but I drink a 30gm protein drink for breakfast. My center recommends 70-80 for females. and i must say i can not hit that without protein powder or a protein drink. And I cheat and buy the readi made premium drinks. They are quick, I mix them in my coffee instead of creamer then finish they rest while driving to work. Then around 10a I eat yogurt/fruit to tie me over til 1 (lunch time). Sometimes I get so busy at work and will miss fruit/nuts/yogurt, that I'll make a smoothie with protein powder, fruits/veggies for evening snack!

senelrad - great idea on the creamer in your coffee !

DC Girl - where do you find the noodles?  is it a specialty store or just a general grocery store?

Pam- Congrats on the personal trainer session.  I understand the intimidation, I have a free personal trainer session a month.  I won't do it because I'm afraid/intimidated/embarrassed by my weakness - so YEAH You - getting the help that will make you more profitable and safer as you work out!!!

We went to Chiptole Mexican restaurant today for the first time = VERY NICE!  I have meals for days!  TEACHER"S APPRECIATION special.

My goal amounts in MFP keeps changing on me, any guesses why?

Hi JLS!  I can find the shirataki noodles in the produce section by the tofu at my local grocery store Harris Teeter, but the local Giant and Safeway do not carry them.  So I guess it all depends :(  I buy the brand Pasta Zero.  I love them!

Your totals in MFP will change as you lose weight...I opted to go onto the website and do a hard and fast calorie goal of 800 and then I adjusted the protein to be 55%, the fat to be 30% and the carbs to be 15%.  It won't allow you to set goals in grams, just in percentages.  You can't do it on the app, sadly, just on a computer :)

Don't you love how a Chipotle burrito bowl is four meals???  I used to eat that AND a bag of chips!  Now I have no rice and no beans, and just do the peppers and onions, chicken, cheese, and SALSA!  My pouch does not mind spice thank god :)

If you're adding in exercise in MFP, that will change your daily goals automatically as well. I wi**** didn't, but I noticed it when I stated exercising routinely.

And thanks for the encouragement, JLS! From what I've experienced, I'd encourage you to go use that personal training session too. They'll talk to you before giving you anything to do, wanting to know your limitations and goals, so you can just tell them "Look, I'm basically a marshmallow, just give me some easy things to get started" which is almost exactly what I told my trainer.   Like so many have said here, you can do it!
