Awww sorry to hear you are frustrated :(  You know what?  You feel good and you are working out 5x this week.  Don't let the shorts not fitting affect you - you should feel strong and you should feel excited about your trip!  Maybe the shorts fitting is a goal for a few weeks after.  Amen on the "this is hard" statement.  I wish I had some advice but I am still such a newbie there is nothing I can really say :(

It's going to be a beautiful clear day here in Colorado. Looking forward to having lunch with all my children and hearing from my daughter about what day our first grandchild will make her appearance this week! Because of my WLS, I look forward to being a much more healthy, active "Nana".

B: Bariatric advantage vanilla protein drink with cinnamon

L: Sushi lunch with my hubby and all my kids

S: premium protein plus bar

D: weigh****chers taco soup with cheddar cheese

S: Greek yogurt + chia

Tanya - that's so awesome!  What a thing to look forward to!  And six weeks out from surgery, you must already feel a grand difference!  I also love sushi (I get tuna and yellowtail sashimi and use lots of wasabi and soy normally) - glad you can also tolerate it :)  I swear, a friend of mine in Denver posted yesterday on FB that it was snowing?  You must be somewhere else.  Congrats on almost being a Nana...that must feel amazing :)

Hi, my name is Jennifer.  I've been following this daily post for a while and decided it's time to jump in. I think this is a great way to keep myself accountable in my quest to lose 50lbs of regain, down 7lbs of it so far.

As far as the weather here, we had snow Sunday and yesterday, but it is melting today and hopefully back up to 60 degrees by the weekend.

Time since surgery: Will be 11 years on June 11th.

B: Two eggs with cauliflower "hash browns"

L: 3oz chicken breast with 1 t. of buffalo sauce & blue cheese crumbles, 1 oz swiss cheese, 1 oz almonds

S: Atkins shake

D: Turkey Taco Soup

V: Taken this morning

W: 48oz down so far, still working on it

E: One hour w/physical therapist (back surgery two months ago) and 30 minutes on elliptical

Totals for the day are 1203 calories, 66 carbs, 109 protein

Welcome Jennifer!

I have an aunt who had surgery around the same time as you (she's 12 yrs post op) and she's working on losing 70 lbs of regain.  So far she's lost 30 and says she's feeling great.  I know the one thing she really has focused on changing is upping her protein.  She says she eats a really strict diet 6 days a week and then picks a day where she's more relaxed about it.  It seems that it's worked really well for her, and honestly just making herself accountable again (she's a big fan of My Fitness Pal as well).  Good luck with the loss and it's great to see you here.

In other news, Cauliflower hashbrowns sound amazing!  Do you mind sharing the recipe?

CAULIFLOWER HASH BROWNS
1 Cup fresh cauliflower, grated (i pulse it in my Ninja)

1 T. Hormel real bacon bits

In a medium skillet coated with non-stick cooking spray cook grated cauliflower over medium heat for 3-5 minutes, then add the bacon bits until heated. Salt and peper to taste, I also like to season with onion or garlic powder. I like to put over easy eggs on top of them and break the yolks into the cauliflower mixutre.

Jennifer, welcome!  LOVE having someone who is 11 years post op on the daily post!  Please make sure to always note your time since surgery with your post since it inspires us newbies and helps us to see where we may be a decade from now.  Your menu looks like you eat really reasonable foods and portion sizes.  I think many of us wonder where we will "end up" with sizes of meals since even five months out I can eat more than two months out...so it's really great to have you here.  I know this post helps make me accountable so I will hope it does for you too!  Really, a big and warm welcome to you!

Also your cauliflower hash browns sound AMAZING. I am going to start making those.  I see a big potential business with cauliflower items.  I would pay so much money to have store bought mashed cauliflower, cauliflower hash browns, cauliflower pizza crust...if only I were an entrepreneur!

Surgery weight:  232 lbs. / Goal: 145 lbs. Height:  5'5"     Fat? Ain't nobody got time for that.
