You have a great weekend, as well!

Hi Em & ladies!!

Happy Long Weekend everyone!  Ya boo hoo not for me but I had mine last Monday so its all good!!  Thanks for mentioning me Em!!!

Before I get into all the rest of my post just wanted to say to you all I posted some new pictures on my profile of my dogs and our hike last night and a new picture of me from this morning (excuse the bathroom photo at work).  Please note my profile is private and if you want to see pics just send me a friend request on here.

Emily I hear you on the being thinner/lighter but being more self conscious of my body.  I keep telling myself (about every minute of every day that is all worth it in the end!!).  Yesterday's post was awesome, too bad everyone takes off on the weekends and does not post, would be nice to keep it going 7 days a week, minus holidays and people being sick.

Your Paleo Banana Bread sounds yummy, OMG I love my Mom's banana bread recipie, I use extra ripe banana's and I add a few more and it comes out so moist and yummy.  But that was all pre surgery, like you Em I have not eaten that stuff yet.

You are going to be busy with all that cauliflower work, smart to do it all at once and freeze and use it later.  Good luck with the new recipe, sounds good, I love Thai flavours!!

My menu today does not include dinner, I am going out with hubby and his work friend and his wife and I know this place we are going, Jack Astors has everything so I might get Thai lettuce wraps.

6 mos 3 weeks post op

Exercise: will be minimal today, no walk at lunch, I worked through my lunch and going out for dinner so dogs will have a rest day today from hiking, but will be hiking again on Sat & Sun

Water: so far so good (48 oz)

Vitamins: AM done (I take them as I am drinking my protein shake in the car ride to work) PM on alarms

Stats: (without dinner #s) - 476 calories  26 carbs  61 protein

Have a wicked long weekend ladies if no one posts!!

Hi Daisy!  Please feel free to keep up weekend posts - this post can be kept up by any and all people :)  Would love to see some activity on the weekend!  Your plans sound good - you definitely deserve to take a day off of a 10 mile hike!  Have fun at dinner!

PS LOVE the new pics!  You are gorgeous, your dogs are adorable, and your hubby is a hottie :)  You are so tiny!!!  Congrats on making goal and doing so well :)

Daze! I love the new picture of you, you look wonderful!! So cute and so confident, girl you've done a fantastic job!

And your dogs are adorable. I'm TOTALLY jealous of your hiking area, oh my goodness, what gorgeous scenery. No wonder you enjoy your walks with the pups so much. I'd love to live around such beautiful natural surroundings.

Enjoy your weekend as well, even if it's not a long one. If you start the post I'll try to remember to check in, or I'll start it if I get here early enough. Either way, weekends are usually pretty quiet, I'm assuming because people are off going places and doing things. It's all good, at least we know we can count on a solid Monday through Friday, right?

Hello everyone. Go to pick up mama tomorrow! Love it when she comes to visit. Celebrating my sons 13th birthday this weekend and I am mourning not being able to eat some birthday cake.... I ordered a specialty Star Wars birthday cake from a local baker. I will be okay but ughhhh..... I don't even want to take a bite because 1. I hate to get sick and 2. I don't want to find out if I'm one of those who does not get sick.... He gets to pick where he wants to go out to eat. He is deciding between Olive Garden and a Japanese steakhouse. I am hoping he chooses the Japanese steakhouse.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend. Not sure if we are cooking out for Memorial Day or not... I have a church picnic on Sunday. I just throw myself into setting things up and cleaning up when it comes to these church functions. It helps by not letting me sit around and look at all the delicious food.

Em, your menu looks yummy. I'm still eating pizza leftovers...I do want to try the cauliflower rice. I noticed today I've been grazing a lot. Nothing off plan just had the urge to be snacky. I feel I need to put the fire out on this. I don't want to develop any bad habits.

Time since surgery: 5 months and 4 days

B: 10 unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 1/4 scoop mint cookie protein powder

L: cauliflower pizza with turkey pepperoni

S: 8 oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 1 scoop mint cookie protein powder

D: romaine, boiled egg whites, 1/2 oz cheese, grape tomatoes,

S: watermelon 1/2 cup, vine ripe tomato, falafel crunchy chickpeas, pickle

810cals, 86 g protein, 51 g carbs, 33 g fat

V: on track

E: need to get with it

W: need to get on it.

Queenb, as usual your menu looks solid. I'm so impressed by your food discipline, it's so easy to fall back into old, destructive habits. Enjoy your mother's visit, I'm sure she'll be happy to see you and your family! About the cake, I hear you. Maybe just try to enjoy your son and everyone else having a good time eating it? Enjoy it vicariously, I guess I'm saying.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for your encouraging words, Pam! I have been very vigilant with my food plan. The only thing i have ate off plan has been almonds and peanuts. I am determined not to blow this! I ate well on my plan today I'm just a little concerned with my snacking. Not bad food just walking a fine line into getting into that "wanting to grab something every time I walk in the kitchen" feeling.

i guess I will occupy myself and take lots of pics of the birthday celebration. If I were closer to a year out I would probably take a couple bites but just being a little over 5 months out I better not. He will be so excited about a Star Wars cake so that will make me happy. I just hope I don't have to cut and serve it but I probably will. Torture...
