What's on the menu today, RNYers?
You won't. I'm actually more afraid of falling off a treadmill. The elliptical is a beastly workout, but it's much more secure feeling to me because your feet never actually leave the pedals. Just be careful climbing on and off, and you'll do great!

Look at you being an elliptical champion! And to think a few weeks ago you too weren't so sure! As you and your trainer have discussed....look how far you've come.

I had to switch to the elliptical, the recumbent bike seat was hurting my butt! I may look like I have a lot of padding left, but it sure doesn't feel that way to me. My trainer had me doing some exercises on the floor last night, and all I could think about was how much my hip bones were hurting on the floor, even with a mat underneath me.
Thanks, Anny, for reminding me to think about the positive. I have come a long way, no matter how far I have yet to go!

Miralax and Benefiber - what WLSers dream about :) I was just discussing spaghetti squash the other day! I saw someone make it on the Food Network but I've never tried it. Do you like it? It's not a real substitute for pasta obviously but does it agree with your stomach and taste good?
Glad to have you posting here! Got me thinking about a new veggie :)

I have yet to try the spaghetti squash but I have thid cool gadget that allows me the "spiral" zucchini and squash like pasta. Too me, it's a great substitute for pasta. Love it!
Hello everyone! I am back from my wonderful vacation. It was alittle stressful at times with out-of-state family members but that's ok. My daughter had not seen them in 3.5 years and hubby had not seen them (his dad and sisters) in over 4 years. Man was is it crowder and by Sunday we were feeling the heat! I think Thursday-Sunday we got maybe 10 hours of sleep! But when you go to disneyland you have to do it right! Lol I am happy to repot that neither my hubby or I gained any weight! We did pretty good eating wise and I stuck to my one sweet a day rule, well almost.... It was my birthday after all! I loved the fact that a cast member teased me and wished me a happy sweet 16! We got home Monday and I took a day off on Tuesday to rest my feet, we ended up staying at disneyland a total of 22 hours on Friday so not the whole 24, next year!
My eats: (back to routine!)
breakfast: 1 scrambled egg with little bit of cheese and ham, small piece of french bread. Coffee and creamer (I missed my creamer! )
lunch: a huge salad with lots of veggies, turkey and cheese
dinner: taco Wednesday! Chicken ones
snacks: string cheese (maybe) protein shake with milk, a Greek yogurt as a treat
w: 24oz so far
v: I need to get back on this I am so bad when I go away
e: first day back! My group pt class
have a great day everyone! I have a lot of laundry to catch up on.......
Today was weird for me! I ate almost an entire days worth of my "usual stuff" by noon. Just rely like all I wanted to do was eat, eat, eat!
By the time noon arrived I ate/drank:
3 glasses of water and 3 cups of coffee, Atkins shake, Greek yogurt with a small amount of granola, a small amount of almonds, Light Baby Bel cheese (1) AND a ham/cheese roll up. Around 1:30, the hungry beast reared it's ugly head and I had a rare (for me) Quest bar. More water and coffee.
I'm now noshing on apple slices and cheese, however, that's it for the day. While the amount is what I normally eat (minus a real dinner), I still felt like a pig. Guess it was the short time frame that surprised me.
Vitamins and liquids on track. Too little exercise to bother mentioning.
