What's on the menu today, RNYers? Happy Friday!
Daisy, I'm so jealous of you, your vacation sounds amazing! I'm sure it will be tough at the wedding dealing with the comments, but like Emily said, just keep breathing and remember that they're all commenting because you look fabulous! Smile, tell them thank you, and if you need to get away from the hubbub once in a while sneak off to the restroom to collect yourself a bit before continuing on. As someone who deals with social anxiety quite a bit, I totally get where you're coming from, but if you're prepared I think you'll do just fine! Maybe set up a prearranged signal for your hubby, so he can rescue you from truly uncomfortable situations?
It can be difficult to travel, having to do without a comfortable routine, I'm sure. But think how much fun walking you can have on Martha's Vineyard, and all the exploring you can do. And you should be able to get in plenty of protein with all the seafood choices available.
Good luck, and mostly, enjoy yourself thoroughly! I'll be looking forward to pictures and hearing from you afterwards.

Good morning everyone! It's going to be a nice day out here too! I am sore! They have a new trainer for the 5pm class and he is kicking our butts! Yesterday I hit my leg against the step as I was hopping over it and have huge bruise! Lol the price we pay...... I do like the results I'm seeing on the scale, I'm back at 173 and I am hoping that it will keep going down. I did go get new workout clothes yesterday, the top is a tank and I had to get a smaller size! I chickened out on wearing it but the pants work great! Maybe today I'll wear it today.... The more I workout the more tone my arms get and the more my arms sag.... Anyways.... Enough of that!
my eats
breakfast: 2 small turkey sausage patties, scrambled eggs with some cheese. Coffee and creamer (might have a top off?)
lunch: leftover chicken tacos
dinner: french toast and bacon
snacks: cottage cheese and watermelon, protein shake with milk, Greek yogurt
my totals: cals: 1187 carbs: 80 protein: 104
v: just took them
w: none yet need to get at least 3 24oz bottles today
e: maybe my group class or just a run on the treadmill
off to do some house work! Have a great day
Janessa, I have some bruises like that. Battle scars, I call them! There's one on my hip that I don't think will ever go away, it's from hitting the second set of handles on the darn recumbent bicycles as I get off (the handles down behind/below the seat.)
Glad the scale is showing the results of your hard work!

Hello friends! I am back from visiting my Mom in my home state of Indiana. Her first time home since January when she had open heart followed by many complications. She came home last Friday and I was there from Saturday to yesterday. She is weak but glad to be home and I am glad to be home here, too. Being "the nurse in the family" can sometimes be taxing.
Anyway! Happy Friday to all! Fortunately I was able to eat according to program while I was away and managed to lose 3 pounds, yay! Not much formal exercise but I did plenty of lifting, moving things, lots of laundry and cleaning. That will just have to do for now. So nice to be back here and read all of the encouraging and informative posts. I have missed you guys. Having a couple of food firsts today. One is a quest bar. Very tasty. Couldn't fini**** though. Bought a few to have for a quickie meal if needed. Two is I am having steak for dinner. Going to Outback tonight. We will see how that goes. Gong to chew the heck out of it! Here is my menu for the day. Vitamins: no problem. Water: will get 64oz or possibly more by the end of the day.

Welcome back, Kimberly! We have missed you too! Yay for losing 3 lbs while traveling. What great news that your mom is home. It had to be hard being in the hospital/nursing area for all of these months. I am sure she really appreciated your help. Have fun at dinner tonight - I don't eat red meat but it seems like people can either tolerate it super well or not at all! I hope it goes well for you! Have fun, welcome home, and welcome back to the post! So glad to see you again!
Welcome back, Kimberly! It's good to see you posting again. Glad to hear that your mother is doing better.
I hope the steak experiment goes well for you. I do eat red meat and tolerate it better than poultry, but to be honest I'd be careful trying anything new while eating out. Do take your time, chew really well, and be cautious! Fingers crossed that all will be well.

Hmmm, Pam, I guess you are right. Maybe I should have something else this time and try steak at home. Never thought of that. Good advice and I think I will take it. It would be a little embarrassing to have to go into the BR and hurl my dinner. People would probably say "She must have had too much to drink!", lol.
