I"m SO impressed with you for getting your water in! Seems to me that's the hardest part of this RNY thing. So cheers!

thanks! it is the hardest part haha! when you have to stop drinking water 30 mins before a meal, and 45 minutes after a meal, that's a lot of time not spent drinking! I stayed up past my bedtime to finish the last 6oz.

So far so good!  I am having between 30-50 normally and sometimes up to 60 or 70.  And still losing.  I am glad I did 20 g per day for the first 5 months (I think it definitely contributes to my loss so far) but now that my workouts are so intense, I need the carbs :)

Good going, looks like another solid day for you Feather! Just a note about the "stop drinking 30 mins before a meal" thing: I would never tell someone to disregard their surgeon's instructions, but I've seen many vets here on the board confirm something that I suspected: drinking before your meal and right up to the time you start eating isn't a big deal. Since fluids run right through the pouch, there's little benefit to not drinking for any length of time before eating. For me, I found it much easier to get my fluids in once I started drinking all the way up to eating, and nowadays (five and a half months out) I intentionally try to drink an eight ounce glass of plain water right before a meal. It helps keep me feeling hydrated and helps with feeling full, too. Now, I'd never drink right after a meal, and sometimes depending on what I've eaten I may wait up to an hour until I start drinking again.

You do whatever you're comfortable with, but I thought I'd just throw this out there.

Good Morning Everyone!

Emily, I love this post!  Anny, sounds like good motivation to go to the track, I think that would make waking up to work out easier, lol!  Those turkey meatballs sound amazing!  Karen, so true about the leftovers, I feel like I freeze or throw away so much food now.  Or I eat the same meal 5 nights a week.  Still, I can't complain to much, my grocery bill has gone WAY down since surgery, which I love!

I didn't get a chance to go to the store last night, so my menu isn't very planned out today :(

Time since surgery: 4 months, 1 week

B - Premier Protein

L - TBD (I have a work lunch, I'm guessing we'll go to a Mexican place near the office, and fajita's are always a good choice and make a ton of meals, so that's likely what I'll get)

D - Going out with friends, likely some protein forward app, like shrimp ****tail (which is my go to for going out).

V/W - On track

E - None today, unless I get home early enough.  If I can, I'd like to get some yoga in, it's feeling like a yoga day to me.

Have a great day everyone!

I hate when I travel and don't make it to the store!  I am facing a fridge with dwindling options but I am off to Toronto on Friday afternoon until Sunday, then home for 3 days, then traveling two weeks.  So I can't buy much.

I also loooove fajitas (especially shrimp ones) and can get at least 3 meals out of them!

My grocery bills have not gone down, sadly.  Buying shrimp and chicken and stuff, and nothing from the inner aisles of the grocery store, means $$$$.  But it's such higher quality.  When I think of how many boxed things I used to eat (carbs, carbs, carbs) I realize how abusive I was to my body.  Crazy.
