Good morning, OH friends!

I am back after a really fun weekend in Toronto!  It was great to see my friends and celebrate my friend's 40th birthday.  I just saw these friends at Easter so there weren't any comments on how I looked - which was good since I must have reached that "tipping" point, where every single time I post a pic to FB or IG, a million people comment or private message me and ask what my secret is lol.  I tell them no secrets - I had a procedure in Dec and since then I have had no carbs, no alcohol, and I go to the gym 5x a week.  Most people write back, "NO ALCOHOL?!" lol.

Anyway, I didn't do amazing staying on plan.  Saturday night we went to a restaurant that had pizza and pasta.  I had an arugula salad with a tiny bit of buffalo mozzarella on it.  And then later that night back at our friend's I ate some Special K protein chips (20 of them are only 80 calories) with a bunch of hummus.  TOTAL slider food.  I clearly cannot allow crackers back into my life!  Basically I had tons of calories and barely any protein.  Ugh.  But I stayed on track the rest of the time and the scale was cooperative today.

Although I know we should not be fixated on the scale, I do have a sort of a mini goal.  My birthday is in 73 days and I wonder if I can lose 33 lbs and be in Onederland for my birthday.  I will be working towards it (despite traveling for two weeks as of Wednesday).

Anyway, I hope you all had a great weekend, spread all over the world as we are!

Time Since Surgery: 6 months on Saturday

B: Syntrax Matrix mint cookie shake with unsweetened almond milk, coffee

L: Cauliflower mash (1/4 cup) with tofu and Trader Joe's green curry sauce

S: 1.5 oz of cheddar cheese, 3 oz of Dole frozen mango chunks (AMAZING)

D: TBD - I am having a massage after the gym so I am either grabbing chicken on my way home or eating some more tofu from the fridge.  Bland and boring.

E: 30 minutes treadmill, 50 minutes personal training

W: Shake and half a coffee in so far...

V: Taking 'em now!

Totals without dinner 600 calories, 48 g protein, 31 g fat, 30 g carbs

What's on your menu today?

Em, so glad you had a fun weekend! I did some grocery shopping (as evidenced by the 4,000 different kinds of Trader Joe's cheeses on my menu the last few days), went to a parade made up off 100s of fire trucks (and more importantly fire MEN) celebrating the 100th Anniversary of one of the local fire companies, went to a BBQ, shopped, and worked out! All in all it was a pretty good weekend and relatively productive.

I've been itching to bake for the last two or three weeks, so I tried out the New York Times Whole Wheat Muffin recipe. This is a staple of my 5-years post-RNY friend. I decided to make mine as mini muffins and freeze them so I could pop one out for breakfast.  I used canned pumpkin as my fruit, I subbed splenda and eggbeaters, and I added a half cup of mini chocolate chips. They are super tasty and the stats aren't awesome, but they aren't too bad AND they taste great and I got to bake (for my version: Calories 68, Protein 1, Carbs 8, Fat 3)! I ate one with cottage cheese for breakfast and it was really delicious!

Time since surgery: 11 weeks

Pre Walk S: 1/2 nectarine

B: 1 Whole Wheat mini muffin with 1/2ish tsp of light butter, 3oz cottage cheese

S: 16oz coffee with half and half, 12oz Nectar Lemon Tea protein shake

L: Pizza skillet - 2oz mozz cheese melted in a frying pan until crispy and golden, 1tablespoon pizza sauce, .5oz mini turkey pepperoni, 1oz steamed carrots

Pre Y S: string cheese, nectarine

D: Omelet made with EggBeaters, turkey sausage crumbles, chevre cheese

S: 8oz Nectar Lemon Tea protein shake

TOTALS: Calories 775, Protein 96, Carbs 38, Fat 27

V: Crap, this has been a bad few days for vitamins, must get on track

W: started

E: colleague bailed, so I walked by myself, headed to the Y this evening

Pam! I finished my lace wrap, it's blocking now, I'll post a pic later on!

Anny - your weekend sounds great!  What's it with you and glistening men with great bodies ;)  I am impressed that you still walk before work even when your colleague ditches you.  Awesome.

Cheese from Trader Joe's...I love it!  Your menu sounds great.  And that muffin doesn't sound bad.  I was reminded this weekend that carbs do not fill me (20 Special K chips and I could have kept going) so I am going to avoid the muffins until absolutely necessary :)  Your pizza sounds great.  Hmmmm I have turkey pepperoni...I could totally make that for dinner.  That might be good, and better than eating tofu for both meals today....

I forgot to mention, I also forgot to bring vitamins to Toronto!  So I have been bad too.  I already put them on the counter to pack into baggies for my long trip!

Yeah, when I talked to Meg about the recipe she was a little skeptical if baking was a good idea so soon - but I've decided if I find myself having a second on any day I'm going to immediately bring them into work for my colleagues to have and get them away from me! And since they're relatively "healthy" I won't feel guilty at all!

And yes, I highly recommend the skillet pizza thing! I was going to try it a few weeks ago, but then I found the FlatOut breads and used that as the crust, but this was REALLY good - the warm, but sort of crusty mozz was delicious!

Oh, cool, I can't wait to see it! Although I now feel totally inadequate and like the world's slowest knitter...you finished that thing in what, a week?!?

Please don't feel so, it demonstrates more than anything that I have little to no life.

Glad you had a good weekend.I had a great weekend also.I went to my cousin and his partners wedding. In New Jersey it is legal for same sex marriages. It was one of the best weddings I have ever went to.

I have been obsessed with the scale since I started.I am going to try to stay off the scale for a couple of days. I danced all night which was better than any number on that damn scale.

I am glad you posted this morning I forgot to take my vitamins. I am just chilling this morning.

B:Powerade zero than two scrambled eggs

L:Tuna salad

D:Not sure yet

S:If I am hungry I will eat a yogurt

First round of vitamins are done water is on it's way.

I went to the beach yesterday and I was able to get out of my chair without flopping over on my knees to get up.

Enjoy the day.

Hi 3BH!  You have had some awesome NSVs lately :)  I am so glad you had fun at the wedding and danced all night.  You looked gorgeous in that dress!  Gay weddings are fabulous, aren't they?  Totally generalizing but that has been my experience!  The majority of people there are so fun and jovial!

It was such a great ceremony and the reception was amazing.I will say I did have a few glasses of wine and really didn't eat that much.I wanted to dance as soon as I heard the music. My husband is great he didn't mind I was on the dance floor all night. I am really lucky.

All of their guest said I was the best woman dressed there. So I considered that a major compliment since  a lot of them were in the fashion industry.
