Sorry if this has been talked about before.  What do you know of it?  Can you get it in stores?  What does it taste like and can I put it in my coffee?  Thanks for your help, Brian.

It's a sugar alcohol. I wouldn't touch it. Sugar alcohols in general cause all sorts of distress. Expect lots of gas and explosive diarrhea.

It is SA. For most people - it does not cause abdominal distress. I have problem with most of SA - and this one gives me the least issues.

It is expensive (IMO) but it can work.

The vitamin zero water has that as a sweetener.  As well as Sobe 0 water.  I casn drink some of it - but not much.

The only way to know if you like it and how it affect you is to try it.

I use liquid or powdered stevia in my coffee.

As far as sugar alcohols go, supposedly it causes the least intestinal distress, but that's in normies...I am not sure about RNY folk.

Anything with Maltitol gives me awful gas, bloating and pain so I stay away from products made with it. Maltitol is the sugar alcohol most commonly used in commercially produced sugar free baked goods and candy.

I've never seen Erythritol sold in stores, and I've never tried it. I do okay with xylitol( most commonly used in sugar free gum ), which is another sugar alcohol, and I buy it at Whole Foods. Xylitol is as sweet as table sugar, so I'm guessing Erythritol is as well. It also can have a "cooling effect" when eaten, and some people can't get past that.

AFAIK, sugar alcohols can be used in coffee. I have used a combo of stevia and xylitol if I'm bake sugar free. ( which I usually do, I only use sugar for cakes/items I'm baking for other people. )

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

If byou tolerate xylitol - you should have no problem with Erytritol.  Whole foods sells it.

I can't tolerate xylitol but can tolerate some erytritol.
