Moving of bowels
JENNY---All experiences are unique (of course!)...keep in mind, what comes OUT has a lot to do with what has gone IN...if you have been on liquids, then your stools will probably also be liquid...If you have not been able to expel a lot of gas, you may need to increase your walking, so you can get that gas MOVING, so your bowels can do their "work", more easily...Anesthesia puts your bowels to sleep, just like it does the rest of you (million year nurse here), and sometimes it takes awhile to wake everything up....For ME, on clear liquids, I think it was day 3 or 4..and what came OUT, looked what went IN...not pleasant, but we all do it !
To this day I won't touch green jello...

We Can Do Hard Things
As mentioned everyone is different, and you have to take into account what your body took in before, both pre and post-op.
That said, it took me nine days post-op to have a bm. I was on a liquid diet pre surgery and clear liquids after, so it was loose (and thankfully not painful).
