I felt great quickly after surgery too. Just take care of yourself and rest if you need to. I had my surgery 3 weeks ago and I found I would go strong and about 3 or 4 in the afternoon I would get tired. I agree about the smell of protein powder, yuck. I have been buying unflavored protein powder on Amazon from Bulksupplements.com and find it doesn't have a weird taste. I can add it to yogurt of cottage cheese to beef up the protein count. I also mix it with milk and Nestle Quik sugar free. On these boards I also heard mention of Chike Coffee protein powder. I bought that off Amazon too and really like it. Try not to smell it going into the blender with ice and milk and its like a frappacinno. Good Luck

I'm so glad to see these posts. Most of us didn't have any issues, had minimal amounts of pain, and returned to daily life relatively quickly. It's important to remember that while complications and issues are possible, they are in fact rare.
I don't think you're pushing yourself too hard. In fact, my surgeon tells all his patients, "When you go home, you are limited only by comfort and common sense." If you feel okay, you are probably okay.
As for sleep, give it a few more days. I'm a stomach sleeper and I was able to sleep that way about a week out. I started out on my back and each night I rotated a little bit more until I was back to normal.
Good luck and thanks for sharing your positive experience!
