My skin is so dry.  Do any of you take omega 3.  Will it help?  Alligator skin.

I take it, however, I also needed to add a body oil.  I've been using Dr. Tea's, but any good-quality moisturizing skin lotion should help.

I am using Neutrogena body oil light sesame scent and love it.  I also added CeraVe moisturizing cream where needed.  My face is dry.  My facial lady suggested Omega 3.  I was just wondering how we absorb it. Or if we absorb it.  How much do I need to take.  Sigh!  I use Babor moisturizer and it is great.  That solved the problem but not totally.  She says I need hydration.  I cannot drink anymore water.

I have it in patches. It was driving me nuts, until someone gave  me a tube of Gold Bond Ultimate diabetics dry skin relief. I am not diabetic but the formula works wonders. The change in my skin incredible. The lotion is super moisturizing without being greasy, and there are no offensive perfumes.

I've always had dry skin and it gets even worse in winter. Pre-WLS I tried fish oil, but didn't see much of a difference. For moisturizer I use straight up coconut oil. It melts in your hands and absorbs nicely. It's a little bit greasy for about 15 minutes while it absorbs. No more dry skin!

I had to add flax seed oil to my supplements (not a fan of fish oils) and make sure I eats a few nuts everyday.  It helps.  I also have to moisturizer all over twice a day, which I never had to do prior to surgery.  Is your thyroid okay? Under active thyroid can create dry skin too.

I take flaxseed oil capsules in winter to help with dry skin.  How much it will help really depends on why your skin is so dry, though.  If it's a lack of healthy fats in your diet, it will help.

Making nuts your snack of choice might help.  Very often, I mix a few walnuts in with my Greek yogurt.  (since you are from Texas, I have to mention how impressed this Minnesotan was to see the most beautiful pecan tree outside one of the Dallas Walmart stores.)

Eating the good fats help with dry skin, nails and hair. Avocados, Nuts, Flaxseed, Salmon and Olive Oil are a good source of healthy fats.
