Probably a ridiculous question, but
which side is my actual pouch on? (I was under the impression it was on the left?) I'm 10 days out, feel great, but am experiencing a bit of discomfort on my right side. Sometimes feels like incision is pulling, sometime maybe more. My dr appt is tomorrow, but I'm curious and don't want to sound like an idiot with the doc!
If you look at an anatomical drawing, the stomach is at the bottom of the esophagus, which is naturally in the middle of your body and then it kind of forms an arch with the entrance to the small intestine off to the right. The pouch is formed from the very top portion of the stomach, so it's pretty much right in the middle up by your diaphragm. If you're feeling a pain in the right side, it's likely something else. For example, your gall bladder is on the right, right around the waist level.
