Always Hungry

No offense to your doctor ... but really? 5 hours? If I could have gone 5 hours without being hungry I would not have needed weight loss surgery ;-)

It depends on the meat. I can eat more crab legs than chicken because of the density factor. 3-4 ounces of chicken probably. Sometimes I get hung up on the side items because I like variety. I make salads at the Harris Teeter salad bar and often bring leftover chicken from home. I try to be good about getting the protein in, but some days the veggies win. On those days I may actually eat my salad in shifts.  If you plan your calories then I think you can divide them up accordingly. There are days I know we are eating out for business so I will skip my 7am breakfast - eat a 100 calorie or less snack at 10, get lunch at 12 - take part of it to go and then fini**** at 3 then eat dinner.

It really is all about the planning.

If I eat something with carbs for breakfast and  I am starving by 9, but I drink some water and remind myself that I can eat again at 10. Distract myself - take a lap around the clinic, etc. Knowing when my next "feeding" is coming really helps!!

I do pretty much the same.  I plan five or six small meals of about 200 calories each.  I don't eat rice, pasta, noodles, bread, popcorn, chips, potatoes, or sugar.  I never get hungry.

I will definately try the more frequent smaller meals. That may be my solution!

This.

I eat a gazillion times a day.  Otherwise I would kill people.  I just make sure it's protein/healthy fat-forward.

protein is the key. Can you eat tuna from a can? a can of tuna had 66g of protein you can split it up into several meals. if you are getting more protein you will lose more weight. are you exercising? Hsve you tried crystal lite in water?

I am unable to eat canned tuna but I can eat canned salmon so I will try that too. I sometimes do the crystal light in water instead of the diet snapple but drink more snapple than the latter. I figured they are both water based and artificially sweetened so they are basically the same...

I agree with more water. I also eat 5-6 "meals" a day at planned intervals and have zero hunger. Hope you find what works for you!
