Misery and Donuts!!!

I was just chatting with my brother, who had hip replacement surgery a few months ago, and he said that it was the easiest surgery to recover from that he's had.  In addition to other pain meds, they're now washing the hip is Exparel, a new lidocaine-like drug, that keeps the hip numb for 3 days post-op.  My brother never used the other prescribed pain meds and, by the time the Exparel wore off, he just switched to standard OTC Alleve.

Surgery is not fun, but neither is living in pain.  I don't know anyone *****gretted getting the hip replacement surgery, although many wished they had done it sooner.  Wish you the best, whatever happens.

Thanks after a weekend or so of pouting and eating all sorts of crap I caught myself.  Started dressing nice again, wearing heels and sucking it up.  I am not ready yet, don't know when I will be.  But donuts aren't the answer nor is regaining weight.
