revision from VSG to minigastric bypass or sleeve " DUMPING SYNDROME "

I'm very sorry to hear that you are still, after all these years going thru such a difficult time, or at least experienced such trauma. I can only hope in my WL journey I don't find myself with the health problems you experience. There is soooooo much unknown in this journey, "am I going to have complications? Will I die during surgery? Will I lose weight and be a success story? Will I have other complications from this procedure? The list goes on and on. It's a scary venture and I know it's normal to have these fears, but how to deal with them is quite another thing.
How much sugar a person can eat varies. About 70% of RNY folks can eat pretty much all the sugar they want without dumping. But maybe a better question is how much sugar can you eat without gaining weight back or without preventing weight loss?

I wouldn't do either. The statistics from resleeving aren't very good, and the complications from mini gastric bypass are worse than regular bypass, with less success.
The DS is the more natural revision with a lot of weight to lose. But any surgery isn't going to help without seriously changing eating habits. And your comment about dumping suggests you aren't willing to give up sugar, which is going to make losing with any surgery very, very difficult.

You need supplements for the rest of your life with any WLS.

I was worried about it, but I was more worried about the risks of remaining morbidly obese.
As far as NSAIDS go, the ASMBS recommends ALL WLS patients avoid them, no matter which surgery they have. If I got very sick and absolutely needed NSAIDS, like if I had heart problems and needed aspirin, then I'd take them and risk an ulcer. Very few illnesses require NSAIDS. They are certainly useful for treating pain, but it's not life-threatening if you don't take them for pain.

He said it would be too drastic
-I was so obese I needed to "drastic" measure or I would have never would have got to a normal healthy weight.
I wanted even MORE drastic, i.e. the duodenal switch, but my surgeon and PCP talked me out of it. Considering my PCP was one of those people that brought up WLS and supported me the whole way, I listened to her.
I love my RNY and the health, happiness, body, and physical body it has given me. I can do things I thought I would never be able to do again (e.g. figure skating with easy freestyle jumps like a loop)!!! I weight the same as I did in High school and I can do EVEN MORE than I could in high school. I used to hate gym class in high school, now I am up at 4 am in the morning to get my butt to bootcamp BECAUSE it is hard and challenging and I cant do all the moves.
