What's On Your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning Everyone!
I find that I really like string cheese and chili post op and for the same reason: they fill me up! Pre-op I could eat a whole bag of string cheese, and wouldn't feel anything close to full or satisfied, now 1 (and sometimes 2) sticks, completely hold me over until my next meal or even work as a meal substitute. Same thing with chili (although i don't eat it too often, b/c of the carbs). I used to eat a huge bowl and not feel very full, now I eat 1/2 - 3/4 of a cup and I'm stuffed. I love that it takes so little. Of course, I also love all the dense proteins too, but I always liked those :)
Time since surgery: 13 months
B - Lean cuisine turkey sausage & egg sandwich (I'm almost out of these, they got me over that craving, but I don't see myself buying them again any time soon)
S - String cheese
L - Greek yogurt w/ all the "special" seeds :) (Hemp/flax/chia)
S - Greek Yogurt
D - Egg whites with veggies and cheese (and prob. 1 whole egg mixed in)
W/V - On track
E - Worked out with my trainer this morning (and I'm getting stronger, it's kind of awesome) and will likely do some sort of cardio tonight
