I had a teeny amoutn of orange juice (about an ounce) about a month out... and I could feel it affecting me badly right away (cause juice is quick to get in the system). I would do it with extreme caution. If you start to feel funky... stop. Right away. You might be fine though. Maria 268/219/??? www.TheRoadToThin.com

What does your doctors office tell you to do. Some doctors forbid oranges due to the pulp. Also, the acid may prove painful to your pouch.

Hi Pam I was one month post op before I chewed a tangerine and spit out everything but the juice. I only did a couple of wedges and had no problem. However, I would suggest checking with your surgeon or nutritionist before you try this. ((((((HUGS)))))) Dawn

Orange juice is the remedy of choice to give to a diabetic in low blood sugar state while still concious it is so concentrated with simple sugar and so readily absorbed in the stomach. You are playing roulette especially at 1 week out with the acidic levels. ouch.
