What's on your menu today ( Wednesday) RNYers?
Oh sweetie I'm sorry you're struggling :( I'm still pre-surgery so I don't have any real sound advice to give....what about ice-chips....I know you said you can't tolerate plain water but maybe if it's melting and trickling down your pouch will be less grumpy about it? I hope it gets better soon!

Is good ice the little nugget kind?

Hopefully you found some, I know near here Zaxby's has it....not sure if all of them do but worth a try if you haven't gotten it yet :)

I couldn't stand the tate of plain water. I used grape and fruit punch Crystal Light. I used half a packet for a bottle of water and sipped on that. It does get easier but remember you have just had a life changing surgery so cut yourself a little slack. You've got this.

"Oh give thanks to the Lord for he is good!"
Oh no! I remember that phase, so hard to get liquid in. Honestly, I think the lack of fluids is what had me knocked out more than anything. I froze sugar free Gatorade in an ice tray and then put a few cubes in a plastic bag before I beat them with I hammer into little tiny chips. I don't know why but just eating tiny chips at a time was easier for me. You could try that, hopefully it helps! I promise it gets better! Hang in there, you got this :)

The only way I could get meds down was with jello! I split them into small pieces (not crushed) and let the jello push them down.

I went and walked at the local YMCA on the indoor track and sipped. I can drink easier if I am walking. It took 3 miles of walking but I was able to get down 4 oz of poweraide zero. SF popsicles and jello work better than other things to me. I guess it will just be trial and error for a while.
