What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu, RNYers?NYers?
Good morning! I'm happy its the weekend but not thrilled its Easter cause that means forced family time. I'm not particularly fond of visits that are due to obligation. Yes, I'm *****y but if I was not related to my family I would not see them ever. I'm not what they wanted in a daughter/sister and I've gotten to the point where I no longer pretend to be what they want. It's a horrible example to set for my children, you shouldn't pretend to be someone you aren't just to make people like/love you.
QOTD: Both but I prefer to make cake. Below is my most recent elaborate creation.
Time since surgery: 2 years 10 months

Good Morning and Happy Friday! It's been a long week and I have a busy weekend coming as well. Helping mom and dad pack all day tomorrow and Easter at my sisters on Sunday along with other weekend 'intentions', the usual walks/hikes, errands and chores.
Day 10 at 231, boo. I know it's par for the course, but it's still frustrating. I'm doing everything I am supposed to so I will wait it out.
QOTD - Neither really... never understood what all the fuss was about, especially cake. I always preferred ice cream, preferably Ben and Jerry's.

Good morning JB and gang. It's been a bit since I got to post on the thread. Work has been straight up crazy this week. I got a project dumped on my desk on wednesday that has to be done today, no pressure, right? Well, I got it done and it's about to leave for Customs this afternoon.
Today is my hubby's birthday and I feel so bad because I ran out of the house this morning and totally forgot about it. Luckily, I made him eggs and sausage before I left, so at least I didn't totally forget him. When I realized I had forgotten, I called him and apologized. Things have just been super nuts all around lately. I'm going to leave a little bit early and make sure to pick up a card for him on the way home. I did get him a gift of Detroit Tiger Baseball tickets, which arrived this week, so I don't feel too horrible.
JBQOTD: I love both. I guess it depends on which kind of cake and pie. Carrot cake over all. Coconut cream pie over all cake, but it will vary by the types of cake versus pie... Pineapple upside down cake, over almost everything... see where I am going here? LOL.
We are having a potluck here at work because we have a training session at noon. I brought turkey meatballs with BBQ sauce and fresh fruit with sugar free fruit dip (I mixed 8oz of cream cheese, a bunch of vanilla light and fit greek and some sugar free orange jello powder. I kinda just threw it together this morning, lol). Fresh pinepple that I sliced this morning (and almost took off a finger) and fresh strawberries.
20+ months since surgery
B: oatfit apples and cinnamon oatmeal. coffee with SF coffeemate
L: turkey meatballs with bbq sauce and some strawberries.
D: No idea, it's my hubby's birthday and my MIL always makes him dinner. Probably stuffed cabbage.
S: no idea.
No totals because I suck and have no real plan for the say. I'm logging as I go, though. I've been off the wagon all week.
Editing to add my photo, because I forgot. This is Kal and Bugsy sleeping together on the couch the other night. I'm jealous of them, lol.
OMG - how could I forget Coconut cream pie in my reply? When done well, it's my favorite!

Morning & Happy Friday friends! I slept in today to 8am, it was glorious (I have a stat holiday today) as I am usually up at 5am this felt wonderful!
Your professional painter sounds awesome! What a nice thing to do for the kids, I love the colour theme and a coat of paint can change/rejuvenate a room so much, you must post pics for us when its done!
QOTD: CAKE hands down CAKE. I am getting the jitters just talking about cake. It was 100% my downfall pre surgery. I had a major sugar addiction and I think I have told you all before I used to buy birthday cakes and eat them by myself, I could easy polish off a 9" round cake in two days, I would literally eat it for my meals, holy hell no wonder I was MO right! And I am one of those people that LOVE the sweet sugary icing, the icing flowers and decorations the more the better. There is a bakery/fresh veggie/fruit store about 5 mins drive from our house, they home make daily every kind of pie you could want and whenever I go to my parents house I usually bring 2 or 3 different flavours, they tell me they are off the charts yummy. I personally am indifferent on pie, I am not big on the crust, but if I was to have pie it would be pumpkin first then apple.
