all excellent schools. I really wanted to go to UNC-Chapel Hill - and should have. One of my regrets in life. Beautiful campus, great college town, outstanding school.

That's true of a lot of state schools. Tough to get in if you're from out of state. It's true of Univ of Wisconsin, too

Good morning ~ Kitties playing nice and naps for the win, JB! I had a nice productive and relaxing weekend, much needed. It's been cool and overcast all weekend so instead of BBQing chicken yesterday, I made chicken and dumplings. We lit a fire and my son and his girlfriend made s'mores (yes, I had one). It was a very cozy fall evening! But today is a new day. It's my first back at the gym. I'm excited, but I my body is not. We filled all the holes from our dog, Chloe or "backhoe Chlo" as she is now called (thank you Melody). I am super stiff and in pain - tossed and turned a lot to get comfortable - my shoulder, hip and low back are killing me. Even though I haven't touched Advil in 5 years, I still miss it dearly. I will do the best I can at the gym and enjoy a hydro massage afterwards.

QOTD - My sister, Mare. she is always looking forward and truly living her best life, obstacles and all. She never stops trying new things, planning adventures and making people feel special. I'm very lucky to have her in my life.

Good Morning Everyone,

I had a relatively quiet weekend. Saturday my kids band played their concert. They had 6 original songs they wrote to perform. They sounded great. Had dinner out at the Texas Roadhouse. Yummy steak. My daughter is so nice about sharing a meal with me. Sunday my daughter and I did a trail hike, we signed up for the 10k but decided to complete the 5k instead. I was glad we did, I was fading hard at the end. It was alot of uphill but the area was pretty with lots of trees. Luckily the weather was cooperating also with mid-60s. I think I will signup for a Turkey Trot next or maybe a Halloween Haunted hike first depending on what I can find.

QOTD: My dad is a positive person, I rarely (if ever) hear him complain.

B: Triple zero greek yogurt with collagen added, cold brew with sf vanilla syrup, sf caramel, half n half

L: WW Buffalo Chicken Taquito with light sour cream

D: "fried" chicken breast with 1 c. melon

S: Frozen greek yougurt with strawberries

E: walk 30 min, yoga 30 min
