What's on your Saturday April 8th menu?
on 4/8/23 4:02 am - Amarillo, TX
I couldn't resist this one. It made me laugh out loud,
Nothing much planned today. Hoping to stay home. We are having a picnic Sunday at a park near here. Not particularly looking forward to it but I digress. I've also not had much sleep. My left leg is hurting fairly severely and I've not been able to sleep with it. It led to a big ugly cry a bit ago after my cat Opal bit me. It wasn't a bad bite but it just was the straw that broke the camels back.
QOTD: what item do you have the most of compared to other stuff in your house?
mines easy...Jump rings I most likely have over half a million if not way more.
B: oatmeal with no sugar added almond butter and coffee
L: thinking fajita seasoned chicken salad
D: ????
S: undecided
I have way too many cleaning products. I am a sucker for things that are advertised as magic miracles. Some of them do make cleaning a bit easier, but I remember people years ago who used Tide laundry soap for everything from laundry, cleaning floors, washing down walls, and even washing their hair. They had spotless homes. I end up buying a cleaner for laminate, a cleaner for wood, cleaners for glass, a gas stove cleaner, a cleaner for tile, a cleaner for countertops, a cleaner for the kitchen, a cleaner for furniture, a cleaner for carpet, a cleaner for toilets, a cleaner for sinks, etc.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Mornin' All!
I got back from Chicago late last night and am ready to play some major catch-up this weekend. I feel like I'm behind on everything - way too much going on the last few weeks. I hate feeling this off-track.
QOTD: purses. And food in my two freezers (the freezers that are on my two fridges (kitchen & basement) - fortunately not two big chest freezers!). You'd think I was stocking up for a famine. Also, framed (and unframed) pictures. I'll never have enough wall space for all my art. I should probably have a sale. Oh - and books. I could easily get rid of 75% of them. Especially completely useless ones like 45-year-old science textbooks from college.
B: skyr or cottage cheese with the rest of my mixed fruit (1/3 banana, 1/3 can of mandarin oranges, and about half a kiwi). Coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: chickpea spread on 35-calorie bread with cucumber and tomato slices
AS: L&F yogurt
D: ?? maybe half a veggie burger?
have a great day, everyone!

Good morning and happy Saturday!
I was out way too late last night but the concert was so good. Introduced to a really interesting opening act too so that's always fun. Good crowd, The War and Treaty pretty much blew the roof off, and we all had a good time.
QOTD - books, I have about 800 physical books and at least 1500 e-books. I know this because a few years ago, I realized I had bought the same book twice and so I scanned all my books into Goodreads and now when I get a new one I do the same so at least now I don't buy them twice. If I get to live until I finish my TBR, clearly I will live forever.
I'm taking a rest day today so just some stretching, some errands and some relaxing. I'm going to make Sheila's protein pudding so I have to pick up a few ingredients.
menu is all the leftovers in the fridge - leftover chicken breast, left over deli turkey, left over prosciutto and fig pizza in whatever random order works plus coffee.
Have a great day everyone!

I got overwhelmed with books, magazines, and journals. And for reference works especially, I've been going more to digital versions to look things up.
I started digitizing a lot of books, and did a lot this past winter. All my shelves were full, and there were stacks popping up all over. I finally got a large format sheet feed scanner, and I just started scanning anything i was willing to let go. I can scan a 400 page pook in about 5 minutes. Books that I had a more personal attachment to, or were too valuable, I scanned by hand. I still have about 300 books on shelves, but there is much less clutter.

I have a rule that I can't stack any books on top or crosswise because it gets out of control then and look lbs messy. I do have a couple boxes of magazines I am gradually reading through, and I have stopped most of my magazines. Fortunately things like archeology aren't time sensitive to read because I am a few years behind, lol

That's funny.
If you ever need a book on furniture history, I have all of them digitized.

Good morning ~ I got on here 2 hours ago and started reading the internet and now it's after 7am! Yesterday was a good day, all the things are done - work is wrapped up nicely, pedicure and my hair is gorgeous. Today we are hiking and/or golfing. I need to keep my mind off food, so staying busy today, tomorrow is nesting. I'm not hungry, I just want to taste everything. This last couple weeks on the LSD has really helped clear out the crap, get my head in the game and focus on protein.
QOTD - right now, protein shakes. Every flavor of PP and basically a pallet of Farilife.
accountability - perfect
2 sleeps left
2 days full liquids B/L/D - FLP, broth, jello and popsicles
Have a wonderful weekend!

Qotd: stuff.. just stuff... of everything. Ugh. Books including.
Yesterday was and relatively good day. Besides a sciatica I my left leg. It's a real bummer.
We had a good family day, plus we went for a work type dinner. Thai food. Nice.
Accountability : wine and whisky. Ugh.
Today pland are simple: just take it easy. Making a lasagna for Keith and his dad, and I get brisket and some Thai chicken in curry sauce. Yum.
Keith's so easy, either pizza or lasagna and he is happy. Love that guy to pieces. Besides his food choices.
I would love some lasagna...but nightshade and my arthritis don't match really well. So I'll skip that. But since I feed him food he likes, there is a less chance he get into my brisket, or my chicken Thai curry..
Love you guys
