Wow how terrifying. I am so sorry to hear what you have been to. I felt like my ulcer that perforated my stomach was scary and dramatic, but yours is that x 100. Thank god you had good medical care and you are home. Rest up, recover, and take care of yourself.

Lana - I'm so glad you're okay. Honestly, I had to look up a few word to get the full picture of what you went through - I can't even imagine how scary that was for you and your family. I hope the road forward will continue to get better for you and that you are able to get back to a healthy place. Take care!!

Good morning!

A really good weekend was had in perfect weather. I went off the rails a bit on Friday, but got my act together the next morning and did well the remainder of the weekend. Sunday was quiet and I never left the house. Rog got home safe from Vegas and brown dog continues to improve. He's off pain meds, but I have to keep him on his anti-anxiety meds because the stitches are making him crazy. Those come out on Saturday.

Today I need to go get vitamins, and maybe run to Macy's. Then I am meeting my daughter at the Y because somehow they included me in her family membership (not supposed to happen at no charge, but they just said shhhhhhhh, don't tell!) Access to the Y will give me access to a pool. That will help in my ankle recovery short term, and building muscle strength long term.

QoTD: I can spend hours reading the comments following news articles on line.

Menu today

B: 1 egg, 2 bacon, 1 25 calorie flour tortilla

L: either leftover pork chop or leftover carne asada. I'll do an audible.

D: I think I'm trying a new chicken and roasted corn dish. I got all the ingredients. Just need the motivation to make it happen.

Peace Everybody!

That's so great that you have access to a pool!

How do you find the mental strength to read the comments? Every time I try, I regret it.

I'd put me squarely in the glutton for punishment category. I find it fascinating how people can justify their keyboard warrior stances and small minds.

Interestingly, I just dealt with an upsetting "keyboard warriors that went too far". I opened up my email and there was an all caps racial slur as the email headline from a cookie supply vendor that I use all the time. I freaked out but they replied to my email immediately and said they were hacked. What an terrible hack. I can't understand why anyone would be so awful.
