I broke up with Paula. It's for the best, despite me questioning the decision. I have found myself in a quagmire of life at the moment. Lots of reflection, and much growth ahead.

Last night, I did some self care and treated myself to the nine inch nails concert at the United Center. Tickets were a fraction of face so I scored good seats.

I'm currently on my way to the doctor. It should be routine. The rest of my day is blocked in 15 minutes increments with a spare fifteen minutes weaved in.

Hope that you enjoyed the concert last night and that it was a good distraction. I like the United Center as a venue: comfortable seats, lots of food options, and a little easier to get home from for those who live in the Western Suburbs. We had Blackhawk's season tickets for many years.

I'm headed into the city right now, and for some reason, the heat is on in my train compartment. I'm not minding it since the boys keep my house so cold that I have to wear a coat to watch television at night.

QOTD: I don't know if I've had a Klondike lately. Is it real ice cream? I dump pretty quickly on real ice cream. I can eat the fake frozen treats.

Breakfast: bagel

Lunch: meatball sandwich

Dinner: steak

My appointment this morning was canceled due to the building being flooded with six inches of water. Ugh. Wanted to get that out of the way! We'll see when or if it gets rescheduled soon.

I am feeling very rough. I don't want to do anything. I'm thinking we'll go to Sam's. I'd rather stay home but my mom is getting stir crazy

QOTD- Nothing, sugar and milk is no bueno.

Not much going on here, I thought we were done with the 90+ degree weather, but it's coming back this weekend. At least I don't need to worry about my clothes drying on the line. In the summer I much prefer to hang my clothes outside, I love the smell and the crispness.

Ok techies out there my work computer just started showing widgets on my lock screen. It says it's 34 degrees with a cold weather advisory, Happy MLK Day, markets and traffic. How do I get rid of these? Obviously it's not 34 degrees nor MLK day. I've searched and been unsuccessful. Any advice would be appreciated. I really don't want to create a ticket to have our IT contractor help me. Yes I am one of those weirdos that prefer a pristine home screen, no icons no shortcuts...

I need to get to work.

After reading your reply I had to go check our weather and sure enough, over the weekend we'll be close to 100. There goes the water bill again, lol.

I can't have a Klondike bar, but I used to love them. I can eat lactose free ice cream once in a while. But I would love to be able to stop and get an ice cream cone sometimes. Just not worth the risk of dumping.

And rude people tell us the rny is 'taking the easy way out'. It has been 19 years since I've had restaurant ice cream. Sometimes that's not fun.
