10 month check-up

Well went to the Dr today for my 10 month check-up and happy to say I am officially down ARE READY .. 115lbs I am so excited I was hoping for 100lbs by the time I hit 1 year out ,feeling really blessed I am over that at 10 months out. God has truly blessed me with my experience. I did have my labs ran for the first time since September . I guess my thyroid is all out of wack . The past 2 weeks I have been very dizzy and light headed almost faint at times I figured something was off. Well turns out to be my thyroid levels so I need to get that figured out and also my hemoglobin was a bit low as was my magnesium and calcium just out of range by .4 my calcium was 8.4 and normal in 8.8 so I am going to take an extra calcium pill see if it changes. All my levels were just a bit off Dr F said no need to change anything wait and see if when I get my thyroid leveled out if it doesn't help straighten up the other issues. This is the first time my counts have been off so a little concerned with that but Glad it isn't major probs. Just hope this woozy feeling gets better I am also concerned I am so dizzy. Well all in all a good report I guess no major issues.. Still feeling blessed and would do this surgery again in a heartbeat .. LOVE MY DS !!! Kelly

Jenn; Calm down. Call your surgeon's office in the morning and ask where you can get it. If your surgeon requires it for pre-op, they may have sample sizes available or they can at least direct you to someplace you can purchase it. If they can't tell you where to purchase it, tell them you've looked everywhere and haven't been able to find any and what could you use as a substitute. Congratulations Kelly! I am four months out and down 79 pounds but I just looked at the "Expectations" chart and got depressed. It seemed to say that if my goal was to lose 85% of my excess weight I should weigh 219 now (instead of 238) and that I was on track to lose only 69%. I chose not to believe it. If I will lose for up to 18 months and I have lost 40% of the excess pounds at 4 months...I can make it, can't I?

Hey Carolyn Thanks for the reply!! Don't get discouraged 79lbs in 4 months is a great loss and you are still in the early stages the weight comes off quicker the first 6 months I am sure you will make it.. Just enjoy the ride YOU are doing great so far.!!!!! KELLY
