Rona you are awesome! I am fully aware that you have a life outside of this group and that you do this in your spare time. I for one am thankful for it! If you need help with anything, I am more than willing to help the best I can. But, otherwise.... I think your doing one heck of a job!!! xoxo

I am giving this my best shot and have had lots of praise for the job I do but if ever anyone feels they can do it better, feel free to speak up.
Unfortunately when doing this job, problems arise. As part of being the coordinator, I must handle them. Renee and I both have posted the rules over and over again and before she resigned, we had decided that we need to drop or at least warn people who aren't following through, from the program. I don't think that is unreasonable. I mean, if you aren't going to follow through, you shouldn't sign up. Period.
I have asked you all to keep in contact with me this month and if your pal isn't doing their job, I'm going to see if there is a legitimate reason and if not, I will ask that person to drop out at that time.
I want this to be fun and supportive to everyone so, PLEASE, if there is something you feel I can do better or differently, let me know.

It's called Crossing Over to Transfer Addictions.
This group discusses the issue of transfer addictions (also known as cross addictions) after weight loss surgery. there are millions of people who have undergone gastric bypass who are now dealing with issues of addiction transfer.
For a number of people, giving up overeating leads to adoption of a new compulsion.
Addiction transfer occurs when someone is unable or unwilling to rely on one compulsion (for us, it was food) and so switches to a new compulsion (alcohol, drugs, sex, gambling, shopping, internet, porn, etc) due to not having dealt with the underlying issue behind the compulsion.
***Please feel free (and safe) to join and discuss any and/all issues you have regarding Transfer Addiction. ***

I have sent out all the questionnaire ( or at least contacted a couple of you with a small problem on yours but you have your pal). If you did not receive a pal and you signed up, let me know ASAP and we will get it corrected.
Remember what the guidelines are. I do not plan to allow people to be slighted this quarter so if after the first month, you haven't been in contact with your pal or sent them a gift, you will be asked to leave the program. I hope this doesn't sound harsh, but it just isn't fair to those who do such a good job and then end up with nothing coming back to them. There are always excused reasons, and if something unforseen comes up, contact me and your pal and let us know and we will gladly work with you.
Lets all do our part and have a great time. Enjoy!!!
