Sorry to see so few on this board. I love skiing and talking about skiing.

This year, 2009, I will be spending New Years weekend at Boyne Mtn, Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob with the Champaign Ski Club.
The the first week in Feb I will be in Ogden, Utah with the Springfield Ski Club skiing Powder Mtn and Snow Basin.
The first week in March I will be at Whitefish Mtn (formerly Big Mtn) in Montana with the Fox Valley Snowdrifters Ski Club.

Hi Richard. I just found this forum. I too am an avid skier, though I haven't been in a couple years. That's due more to a three year old daughter and the current price of lift tickets than anything related to weighth loss, though I am looking forward to getting out there again this year at a much lower weight. I ski NE for the most part, so I guess we'll never cross paths. I see you are skiing with the Springfield Ski Club. I assume that is Springfield, IL? That's my Mother's home town (College St. if I remember correctly).

Well, enjoy the winter. We just got a total of about 14" of snow this pat weekend, but I'm only three weeks post-op, so skiing is going to have to wait a little while!

Hi Michael,
I guess I am lucky to be able to afford it but my two grown children being half way across the country is a mixed bag. I have skied Stowe, Vermont and Sunday River, Maine as well as Mt Tremblant and Mt Ste Anne in eastern Canada. Not likely to go back, though. as the east can be too crowded and icey compared to west. Goos luck on your recovery and weight loss.
