Yes there is a lapband support group that meets a Red Lobster I think the first or second Tuesday of every month.

Hey Folks- it has been nearly a year since my surger and unfortunately almost that long since I posted here- butI wanted to let you know that there will be a support group starting up in the KC area! Heartland Bandsters will meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 PM at Heartland Spine and Specialty Hospital. The hospital is located in Overland Park KS at 435 and Nall. Go to XANGA.com and look for bandedbecca (thats my username there) to see my most recent pic and learn a bit more about me.

It's that time again folks!
Our support group meeting is this Sunday at the PUD Auditorium in Wenatchee from 2 to 4.
We will have samples and perhaps some clothes for exchange, bring 'em if you have 'em.
If you have any recipes for presurgery weightloss or post surgery foods that you want to share, please feel free to bring them.
Guests are always welcome.

Topic: Wishing to start a local support group - Northeast GA
Hello everyone, I am Robert Miller and I am 10 months post-op. I had my surgery May 09 - 2005 and I would do it again tomorrow if I had to do so again! I had the RNY By-pass. I started out weighing 375 and today I am 226.
There is NO local support groups here in the mountains of Northeast Georgia - Clayton is where I live in the County of Rabun. How many of you live in this area and would like to see, create a support group for our area?
Lets put our hearts, minds and soul together to help those like ourselves. Contact me if you are interested and lets meet and share some ideas.

there is a monthly group here in pittsburgh as shadyside, the first monday of the month..the next meeting is tonight 2-06-06 at 7pm
