Anybody home??

Hi, Room! I wanted to see if anyone still checked in here....I am awaiting insurance approval at this point....have jumped through all the other hoops and I HATE WAITING!! lol Is anybody still in this board? Would love to meet some other tarot enthusiasts! I use a Celtic Dragon Deck, have had it for years and LOVE IT! Have also used a Thoth deck (too dark and depressing for me) and a Fairy Oracle deck (beautiful but very difficult). What's your favorite deck? Do you read for others? do you do 'freebies' or do you charge? What is your favorite layout? Just curious! deb

Congratulations! I am interested in learning. I have a set of cards, have no idea what kind...LOL and a how to book but it isnt helping any. Maybe if we put our heads together, and try to breathe life into this board, others will join us. Whatcha think? Jen

Hey, Jen!! EXCELLENT!! we'll breathe life into this old group yet!! hehe Did your deck and book come as a set or a seperate purchase/acquisition? that makes the cards hard to read sometimes as different artists have different perceptions of what they want the card to say. My deck came WITH a book for that specific deck, and from experience, it is WAY too easy for the book to become a crutch! been there, done that. i'm trying to wean, i really am! lol My suggestion would be to try a very simple layout, and really LOOK at the card. what does that card say to YOU. READ the card. it will take lots of practice, but its worth it! anything worth having is worth working for! lol in cards and in life! ;) have a BLESSED day!! deb

Hi Deb! Nice to see you this morning. I located my cards, and cant find the book. Isnt that the way, it always happens. The deck does not state what kind they are, but I picked them up in a book store, so my wild guess is they are standard for beginners....LOL Ive been going to www.astrocenter.com for daily "readings". I must say the horoscope on that site is errily accurate for me. I do the freebies they offer. Im in a rush to do errands right now but when I get in tonight, I will try to see if these cards speak to me. Take care and have a blessed day! Jen
