Cigna HMO

I am in the beginning stages of completing my test for my insurance approval. I wanted to know has anyone from NC had any problems with Cigna denying coverage for WLS?

My gosh... I have been lookin for you... and cant find a darn thing! Still searching though....my best advice... talk to a tattoo artist and if he's talented enough im sure he/she could duplicate it for you. Or... if you are good with a pen maybe you could duplicate it? Just a thought... If i find it i will definately pass it on to you. best of luck sarah

Michelle, I have CIGNA HMO, & even though I have all the things they require, they are trying to deny me. My PCP & employer have contacted them, with my employer over riding their own exclusion & wanting me to have the surgery. CIGNA is still trying to stall. I hope to hear something this week. Hi Michelle, I have Cigna HMO and I went through all of the hoops and got approval. My surgeon's office handled everything for me and approval was no problem. But, I did my homework and started the process with my PCP, making her document everything. Do your homework, be ready to answer every question, go to your PCP for every ache and pain, have them document it, and if you are truly in need, you will be approved. Good luck!!
