I am a Special Education Teacher
I am a Special Education teacher also. I'm glad to see other special educators posting. I have been over weight all of my life. I completed my consultation on May 19th and had the gall bladder ultrasound on the 24th. If everything goes well, we are looking at a September date. I do hope to have the surgery during the Christmas break to lessen the days I may need to be off. Good luck to everyone.
Hello! My name is Annette and I went to college originally to teach elementary education, only to change my major to Special Education one semester later. I took a leave of absence from teaching after 12 years and then began my journey for WLS. I have had a weight problem most of my life and also suffer with hypothyroidism. Three years ago I had lost 68 lbs. on the Weigh****chers Diet, only to gain it all back plus, upon going off the diet. I just had my surgery done 4 weeks ago on 8/2/04. I was in intensive care for 5 days due to some complications. Now I'm all right, except for dumping quite a bit. By the way, I'm from Brooklyn, New York and went to Coney Island Hospital for the WLS. Feel free to answer me. Lots of Luck...
