I am going to have this surgery this summer hopefully and I was wondering if I would be able to be up walking around in five weeks time? Or if I would have to spend quite sometime in a chair teaching. Thank YOU!

I am planning my surgery during the summer if possible. This way I will have a good amount of time to get back on my feet. How was the Tummy tuck? I wonder about that part of the surgery how much other surgery I will have to have to tuck everything up.

Hi Patricia and welcome. I'm a Special Education teaching assistant, and have been doing this for about 10 years. I've been overweight most of my life, but was very active. Now, as I've gotten older, the excess weight has taken it's toll. I went on Weigh****chers for the very first time when I was about 9 or 10. I've tried every diet, and OTC medication that I could find, and still nothing was permanent. I'm done all my testing, and am now in the process of sending all that information to my insurance company's "determination board". I would love to have the surgery over the summer, and not have to take any time off during the school year. Best of luck to you in your journey. Edie
