Weight kept me from getting the job

My teaching certificate is in Physical Education. I applied for a teaching position 2 years ago. I truly feel I didn't get the job because of my weight. I will be having the surgery in 2 days and then when I decide to try interviewing again post op I will see if this was true. When I am a thin person applying for a teaching position I think I will have a better chance of getting the job this time.

I'm sorry that you were discriminated against for your weight (or, at least, you feel you were). And I want to wish you the VERY BEST in your upcoming surgery! Gosh...next week you'll be on the "Loser's Bench" with a bunch of us!! Congrats on your surgery date. I'll be interested to hear whether, next summer, you get a teaching job...because you will have melted like the Wicked Witch of the West this year!!! Best of luck!
