Moving from Elem. to HS...HELP!

Hi all! I am a special education teacher in NC. I have always taught Elementary School (self-contained BED) and have now accepted a position teaching 9th grade Language Arts Resource. I need suggestions on how to set up my classroom, what procedures to use, helpful websites etc. I know these kids are still kids, but I don't want to treat them like babies! I am looking forward to this new challenge and can't wait to start! Joy

I am a High School Teacher and eleive me be your self. They still like to be babied. I decorate my class room with a lot of motivational quotes about knowledge, perserverance, Intelligence and truth. They love the quotes as I change them every so often. i use lots of colors and I put a border around things that I want them to read,
