Good luck to you Susan! I had my surgery 7/7/03 and it was a WONDERFUL summer! It was fun to go back this past year and hear all the positives from my kids and other teachers! This whole past year has been seeing "Ms. Stouffer shrink." Michele

I don't know much about your state but here in Texas thousands of teachers are leaving due to the social security thing. I work in a large district in Corpus Christi and we have 400 teachers quitting this year.

You have to keep on them because personnel depts. have no idea what to do now. Good Luck, Joanne

Have you tried any of the job fairs in or around ? Send a resume to all the principals in schools interested in and maybe you will be lucky and they aren't hiring their neighbor's friend's cousin's brother. I teach 8th math/science here in Columbus and it is crazy how all the schools seem to be having cutbacks. Good luck ! Matt

I am trying to re enter the teaching field and not having much kuck. Any tips would be appreciated. I had 12 years experience teaching in Junior High. I would appreciate any tips or job leads

Topic: Did you tell them?

When you had WLS did you tell your students? I am going back to school in 2 weeks and initially didn't tell my students what I was having surgery for, but no as the weight is coming off I kow they will be asking lots of questions, so I am wondering what to say if anything...what did you do?
