another medication gone!

I am not quite 5 1/2 months out and based on labs my PCP did last week he has taken me off of my cholesterol medication. He had cut it in half 3 months ago because my LDL was 59. Last week's labs showed: Total Cholesterol - 135 HDL - 49 LDL - 64 I saw my surgeon today for my 6 month check up and he said my cholesterol was better than his. Susan - down 65.5 lbs since surgery 1/31/06 and down a total of 84.5 since 7/1/05, AND I've lost 15 inches off my waist.

Thanks to everyone! Six months ago I began a journey that I had prayed would lead to better health. I never dreamed the huge improvements in my health would come this quickly and easily. I continue to thank God everyday for the medical staff who have dedicated themselves to helping those of us who thought we were beyond help, for recognizing us as the human beings we are and for helping us believe in ourselves again.
