Good new and Bad news!
Greetings Friends,
I have some good news and some bad news. My good news is I went to my WLS office for my second appointment Monday 21st. I took my true/false test for my WLS. I passed it with 100%.
They told me that they never saw anyone who got all the questions right and was so jumpy and nervous as I was. I told them I read the gastric bypass booklet over 15 times making sure I understood everything. I was really blown away with the good news.
The bad news is that I got a call from my WLS office today informing me that my PCP did not sent / fax them the referral for me.
They then told me that if they send in my paperwork it would be denied before ever getting to be judge. It would be useless without the referral.
I asked them if They will call me when my pcp office fax's them the referral. When I got off the phone with them I then call my pcp office asked , the pcp to send my referral for the WLS. I am going to call everyday until friday.
IF I do not heard from them by then I am going to go down their on Saturday with my sister who works for a law firm. For some reason my pcp is really scared of my sister.
I can not get my referral from him, my sister will.
And my pcp will not like it either. But I am tired of letting my pcp run me in circles, It is not going to happen anymore.
Your fussy friend,
Tina

Morning, Tina
Make sure your PCP is for the surgery, or he won't write the referral. You may have to change PCP's if he's not for the surgery. I wish you the best. Your PCP may have it dictated and that will take 1-2 weeks for the Medical Transcriptionist to type it up and then send it back to the Dr. for signature, then it will be faxed. I had to wait for 2 weeks for it to come back from the Medical Transcriptionist. I picked it up and delivered it in person. Make sure you receive a copy of the letter if it is faxed, that way you have a copy incase the fax didn't go thru. Keep your copy, and also mail a copy to your Wls Dr. Love Kathy
