question???
Hi Teresa!
You will certainly experience weight fluctuations regardless of how good you are behaving. More than likely it is water weight. It has happened to me on more than one occassion! The best advice I've heard when encountered with this is to keep doing what you're suppose to do.... protein, water, vitamins and exercise. I have certainly learned patience throughout this process. 61lbs in 11 weeks is nothing to be disappointed with! That is an average of 5 1/2 lbs per week! When was the last time have you ever been able to lose 5lbs in a week?? Probably never. You're doing great!

Hi Teresa, your weight will flucuate thru out the day. The best time to weigh is in the morning just before you step into the shower. When I go see my surgeon for my one year weigh-in, I always wear the same weight of clothes. Jan. 10 may seem cold but I started wearing just shorts, a top, and either my sandles, or socks and shoes. I have to remove the socks and shoes before getting on their scale. That way it's more accurate then wearing a sweatsuit. Then I adjust my scales to my surgeon's. This way it's more accurate, then at night. I'm always higher at night, then in the mornings. Pee first.
For a while it will go up and down, your body is still adjusting to the shock of things. Even at 10 months out mine goes up 5-7 lbs, mine is fluids, reminding me that I haven't taken the water pill for a couple of days. My chemo retains fluids. Once I go back on them, the excess weight goes away.
Congrads on losing that amount. That's great. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it, seems to work for you, don't question it. Have a happy day. Love Kathy
