hello all. my son and I spoke on yahoo today and he about broke my heart. He asked me" Mom would you still love me knowing I killed someone?" First my heart just beat fast and I took a few seconds and then told him," Ben, regardless of whatever you might do within your life, there is nothing ever that would make me stop loving you. You are fighting a war over there in Iraq, and I am very proud of you." Let me tell you, it made me wish i could just hug him, as he is only 19. *hugs* alicem

Oh Alice, this brought tears to my eyes. We always worry about our guys over there coming in harm's way, but we don't stop to think about the effects of having to harm someone else that they have to deal with. My heart and prayers go out to your son and your family!

Alice, I am very active in a military/veterans support organization (American Legion Auxiliary), and would like to put your son on our prayer list. We pray for soldiers in general, but it would be nice to put his name down so we can lift him up in prayer. You must be very proud and worried at the same time. I hope he returns home safely. Darlene
