Just wanted to pop in and let you know what is happening. I am supposed to see a neurologist regarding dizzy spells, I think the bulging disks in my neck is part of the problem, but the appointment isn't for 3 months. I keep passing out when walking, and I could be dead by then. So the referring Dr. is trying to find one for me that I can see real soon. Debbie, I have been holding now for 3 weeks at 130. My first plateau. I see the plastic surgeon at the VA in Nashville on Monday. I will post after that appointment and let y'all know what and maybe when it will be done. I have to run now, it's late and I'm at my friends in Bean Station at the moment to tye up some loose ends. Know I pray for each of you, you are what keeps me moving forward. With my love, Kathy

Kathy my advice is... to see a neuro in TN fast....go to the ER when your like this. There are few neuros. Just go the the hospital where he admits and refuse to leave. I know from Kimmy having seizures they will not work you in unless you have an emergency. SO...have one. It took 4 months to get an appointment with new neuro so on her next status seizure we went to his ER where the other doc had no rights, he admitted Kimmy and became her neuro. Hi Beth, as I explained to Kym, I go to the ER, they check my blood pressure while standing and put me on saline saying I am low on fluids. Release me and have me follow-up with my PCP. I want to put what hair I have left and scream at these Dr.'s. I agree something needs to be done, especially when I bend down to pick up my grandson and almost pass out just bending my head down. I also think it's coming from those bulging disks in my neck, because even when I just bend my neck downwards, I get dizzy. I wish right now that I was still established in this area and not in Nashville. Here my Dr.'s would get things done but in Nashville it takes months to see a specialist. I head back to Nashville tomorrow, but I will be contacting my PCP in Morristown or the Pain Clinic here and see if they can't do something for me. Knoxville isn't that far from Nashville. I need to go shower, so I can get some sleep tonight. I've been up since 6am Friday morning. Love ya, I will put the fire under someone's backside to find out what is going on. Kathy

We love you too Kathy! While I can't speak for everyone, I know that there are a lot of us who are praying for you and your return to health! I do think the appt. is too far away for you to wait. Beth may be right about just going to the ER if you have to. I'm glad it looks like you may have finally stopped dropping weight...I think this will be an important step toward getting better for you. At least, I pray this is! (BTW, got your phone message and wasn't sure which one was first. Place is still available and it is 300, not 350 but I think you are right about staying closer to your docs! Kym, is there a good cancer center there in Lawrenceburg? That is the foremost problem. I have to have blood work done every week, and be close to a cancer center. Let me know. I have gone to the ER, when my blood pressure drops upon standing, the ER dr,'s day I am low on fluids and give me saline and to see my Pcp. They never refer me to a neuro, so I saw the PCP they recommended, and the neuro he referred me to can't see me for 3 months. Even having to go to the VA hospital, I have to see my PCP (which I don't like and they won't change) then she has to refer me to a neuro, I can't get in to see her until the end of May. Then it's close to 5 months to see the neuro. I feel like pulling out what little bit of hair I have and scream at the morons. We're talking serious here and they want to just give me fluids and send me home. See you on Saturday unless I'm in the hospital. love ya, Kathy
