Well I am two days away from having my surgery but I am afraid i have not lost all the weight my doctor wants me too. So I am afraid he will reschedule my surgery. What do you all think? I use Dr Woodman

I think if there was a chance of him rescheduling surgery based on meeting a certain weight loss, he would have checked this detail before now. I can't imagine any surgeon waiting until the morning of surgery to cancel based on this type of criteria. We'll be praying for you. Let us know how you are doing. Susan

the doctors will ask the person to lose weight, but if you dont lose it all, he will probably still do it. The doctor told my roommate that if he didn't lose all the weight, they MIGHT have to do an open rny instead of lap... but everything turned out great. Lap in the end.

I agree witht the above posts, the weight loss may mean the difference in open or lap, and there are so many success stories with both that I wouldnt worry about it. I will keep you in my prayers for your surgery to go wonderfully.
