New to board, Has anyone had to do liquid diet for 10 days ??

Thanks everyone, and I do understand. Unfortunately I am not getting my thoughts across quite right, as I appear to not be ready. Realistically, I am very scared and obviously want nothing to go wrong. No one knows what you end up with till afterwards. Not that I am not prepared for the pre-op diet, but it seems after no solids for 10 days and no solids for a considerable time after the surgery you would feel horrible. Most are weak with 1 day of fasting during surgery, but I do know it makes surgery much easier when the liver had depleted its stores in order for the md to see what he is doing. I think I am digging myself in ! lol .... :'(

Lisa, You are doing the right thing, you are asking questions and reaching out. I hope I did not seem harsh, because that was not my intention, however I just wanted to make sure that I gave you the same response that I would want if I was in your position.... All the answers without anything left unanswerd or doubtful. You will make it and we are a wonderful support system, therefore you are off to a great start, here with us. Shelia
