Wow moment!
Actually two.
I went to have my mammogram this morning, one of those necessary evils once you reach a certain "maturity". Now, the only change in my cup size has been the cup getting smaller as the band size goes down. My girls are still DDs.
The first wow was being given a SMALL robe to put on! I have always had to wear the plus size gowns. I almost cried when I saw myself in the blue striped robe that all of the "normal" women wear. I didn't even care what size the girl pulled out of the drawer for me. All I cared about was that it was the regular robe.
The second wow was the technician using the "normal" sized plates in the machine. She had looked at my records from last year and brought the larger ones with her. She said we would try the smaller ones and change to the bigger ones if we needed to. She was able to do the procedure with the smaller plates AND we didn't have to re-do any of the images. In years past I have always had to have at least one shot redone for one reason or another.
Needless to say, I was on cloud 9 when I left the place!
Hi Susan, I had mine done recently and I agree with you, on the robe, the smaller plates, the only thing they had a problem in doing mine was getting them to stay on the plate. I now fall in the catagory of the "IBTC" which is itty bitty ***** committee. I do have to have another biopsy on the left side, no biggy. I'm getting used to getting cut on in that area.
Congrads girlfriend. Can't wait to see you on Saturday. Love Kathy
