so totaly OT - proms today!
So, this past weekend hubby and I photographed 2 proms.
The one Friday night, the chaperones were all over the place. If the kids left the country club, they could only go as far as the front porch for some fresh air and to cool off. Chaperones were there to make sure they didn't go any further, like out to their cars. The kids all seemed to have a really good time and were very well behaved.
At the prom Saturday...I think hubby took pictures of possible conceptions taking place. He took one picture of, at the VERY LEAST a lap dance. We are unsure as to whether or not actual intercourse may have been taking place. I am dead serious. Other pictures were of the girls with their hands braced on the edge of the stage and the boys came up behind them and did the "bump & grind". All of this was done right under the nose of the principal and the other "chaperones". When I say 'under the nose' I mean it. The principal was standing on the stage that the girls were braced against. Call me a fuddy duddy but if I was the parent of one of the kids at this prom, I would want to know just what the chaperones thought they were there for.
We know today's dancing is much different than when we were kids but this stuff Saturday night just crossed a line. Why even bother to have chaperones?
whoa! sounds like someone was having a fun time! hahaha I know I've been to some clubs and people my age and younger and even some older are just down right nasty...no class or self respect for that matter. I would never dance in such a manner... and moreover, what is up with the so called chaperones... you know they were probably off doing the same thing!
Perhaps you can complain to the school board??
The chaperones were in the room!! They had to see what was going on. I guess they were just afraid to say anything.
This particular school had come to Nashville from another county. All of the kids were brought on charter buses so they couldn't go out to their cars or come and go as they pleased except for inside the hotel.
This was definitely N-A-S-T-Y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is too much! My son said I am not allowed to be a chaperone cause he don't want me to embarrass him... ha ha ha! He knows I am strict, stricter than his friends parents. I would be calling parents left and right... hey your daughter was doing the naughty dance on so and so's lap... Needless to say my son had met this girl when we first moved here and she was at our house and we had music on she started dancing around and got up on him in my living room and he looked at me and he was in shock just standing there and I turned the music off real quick and asked her to leave. He even told her that he was embarrassed and that it was inappropriate. I know he may have felt different if I was not standing there but I was and could not believe this girl thought it was ok to rub her rear.... well no need to finish that sentence. What ever school it was I am glad my son doesn't attend there!
We see the "butt dance" at the majority of proms we do. It just floors me that these kids don't see anything inappropriate about it. This mess Saturday night was a whole new low though. It made the butt dance look like the minuet.
This particular school brought all of the kids to the prom by charter bus. None of the kids had access to their personal cars or limos. There's no telling what would have happened in the parking lot. Makes me wonder what took place on the buses coming to and going home from the prom.
I know there were some good kids in the group and they should not have had to tolerate this kind of behavior.
Now Susan, I have been practicing watching the big man in front of the H&R Block buildings. Some are down right sex turn ons. Nah, I am not bored one bit. Remember the last day in the movie "Dirty Dancing" Patrick Swayze had to problem doing the bump and grind on the stage with a mixture of modern dance and a little latin moves in it to make it look great.
I have decided to check into taking up Karate so no one will ever get the chance to manhandle me ever again. I may be tiny, but I plan on being strong in mind and body. Missy Lea and her husband came by, she said to tell you, Sara, Tina, and Toni hi. Love Kathy
