BM Question?

I have been home since wed., but I have not had one. Should I be concerned and call Dr. Mcdowell on Monday?

You are not eating enough right now to produce a bm. As long as you are not having discomfort, I would hold off calling. Of course, if it would set your mind at ease to call then call.

Hey Tywanna, I agree with Susan. Every body responds differently and what's normal for you is going to be screwed up for awhile. Speaking as a nurse, if you start to feel abdominal discomfort besides from surgery or if your abdomen becomes hard, rigid or more distended, then that's a problem. If you are still taking pain meds that will also add to constipation. Hope all comes out great in the end!! Have a great weekend! ~~~Elena
